Cookie Policy

LAST UPDATED: 1 January 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how GymTribe (https://thegymtribe.co.uk) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit or use the Service. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy. You can manage your preferences at any time on the Cookie Settings page.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. They allow a website to recognise your device and remember information about your visit. Similar technologies include local storage (used by our web app to remember your preferences on your device).

2. Categories of cookies we use

2.1 Essential

Required for the Service to function. They cannot be switched off and do not require your consent under the PECR. We use these to keep you signed in and to keep your session secure.

2.2 Preferences

Remember choices you make, such as notification preferences, so we don't ask again. These are only stored with your consent.

2.3 Analytics

Would help us understand how the Service is used (pages visited, features used, errors encountered) so we can improve it. No analytics cookies are currently deployed — the category exists so that any future tooling respects your choice.

2.4 Marketing

Would be used to show relevant offers. No marketing cookies are currently deployed.

3. How long do cookies last?

Session cookies (such as Clerk's) expire when you close your browser or sign out. Persistent preferences stored in local storage remain until you clear them or change your settings in the Cookie Settings page.

4. Managing cookies

You can accept or reject non-essential cookies via the consent banner shown on your first visit, or at any time on the Cookie Settings page. You can also control cookies through your browser settings — most browsers let you block or delete cookies and local storage. Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from signing in.

5. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if we change the cookies or similar technologies we use. Any material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date and, where required, we will ask for fresh consent.

6. Contact
